I believe from personal knowledge and family experience that Citizens Advice as an institution has an increasingly important role to play in society and I hope to continue making a worthwhile contribution to the organisation in Exeter.

I came to the West Country after university and pursued careers in surveying and vocational education before retiring in 2014 to pursue a range of interests in community and voluntary groups.

I represent Citzens Advice Exeter on the Board of CABDevon and am interested in wide areas of social policy and organisational management and governance.

In addition to my Citizens Advice responsibilities, I chair Wellmoor, a health and wellbeing charity in my home town of Moretonhampstead which currently has a big focus on alleviating the effects of Covid 19 lockdowns.
