Became a Trustee in: 2018
I became a Trustee of Citizens Advice Exeter because I want to make a difference for people in Exeter, particularly those facing difficult or challenging times in their lives.
I was born and brought up in South Devon and worked in the London area for many years as a Civil Servant than as a Life and Pensions administration manager. I returned to Devon in 2001 and worked firstly as an enabler for people with disabilities, before taking an administrative position at the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital from which i am now retired.
For me, being a Trustee of Citizens Advice Exeter means being part of an amazing team of dedicated and highly committed volunteers and staff who are all passionate about helping people in Exeter find solutions to problems they face.
Since 2017, I have also been the Devon County Councilor for the ST David’s and Haven Banks area of Exeter and aim to be an advocate within the Council for the excellent work of Citizens Advice on behalf of the residents I represent.
