Advice for Life

At Citizens Advice Exeter we’ve seen debt, benefit and money management issues drive increased numbers of employed people to sickness absence.

Our training programmes minimise the potential for staff absence and reduce the direct and indirect costs associated with a loss of output and productivity.

“Studies showed that 70% of the UK’s workforce waste a fifth of their time at work worrying about their finances; this costs the economy around £120 billion per year.”

Equip your team in life-skills

Accredited by the national Citizens Advice service, our training programmes meet the needs of employees by placing practical skills directly into their hands.

We can provide bespoke training modules to include subjects such as Managing Debt, Budgeting and Financial Skills, Understanding Credit, Benefits and Utilities. Delivery of each can be highly flexible and can be purchased together or individually.

We worked with CAB throughout 2018, when they delivered ‘Advice for Life’ training to new starters as part of our company induction. We wanted to think ‘outside the box’ and be proactive in providing our staff with information which might help them both inside and outside of work and we felt that this training provided a great platform from which to do this. We worked closely with John Robinson who, at all times, was professional, friendly and knowledgeable of the required subject matter and, after a few meetings, created a fantastic booklet and training session to deliver to our staff. The sessions were well received and working with John was a pleasure.
